use this thread to post about games/roms you would like to see in coinops.
if some games play better with sound disabled like for example the mortal kombat series,then post them and let BP know.

2) the obvious MK and NBA jam series, but I'd also love to see Midways NHL 2on2 Open Ice (my fav game) I ran it in Mame128plus (on standard 64mb xbox) with random VM settings. Just turned things up until it booted so I do not have proper settings for it, sorry.

Great idea configuring everything to auto launch with proper settings, makes life easy.

- wwf wrestlemania would be a nice add too.

The info screen isn't available any longer so I can't tell which games have sound disabled, and which games have non-working sound.

I randomly started a game called Riding Fight just a moment ago, never seen it before in my life. There is sound as the Taito screen comes up, but there is no in-game sound. I couldn't check to see if the sound was non-working or if it had been deliberately disabled in order to get it to run smoothly.

No big deal.

For any of these games which will have sound disabled by default, will there be an option to enable sound if the person so wishes?

No sound wont be able to be turned on its for games that wont play properly with sound on as it makes the frame rate drop to an unaceptble level..if it has sound issues but the game plays at an aceptable rate and sound isnt painfull it will be left on. It basically for new games to be added that didnt get added cause you have to disable the sound for it to play like MK3 plays at 30frames a sec with no sound and about 2 frames a sec with sound

Ultimate wont be a problem so pin it there fam
add wwf wrestlemania and 2v2 Open Ice to play with no sound they both look good but wont play with sound enabled at more than 5 frames a sec

the blue ones play without sound...ill probably remove the blue and set it to the classic games so you can better see what are the big games and what isnt.
Favs will override this with a Gold color of course

if you can get ALL of these games PERFECTLY running like ultimate mk3 with sound all i can say is WOW!!! even if you make a stand alone MK player !! that would be SWEEEEET just like the KI 1 and 2 player they BOTH run PERFECTLY!...is there away to get ultimate mk3 to run with sound perfectly???

cant see the mortal kombats working with sound on the 0.84 core.

mameox 0.72 is the emu that plays all mks and ultimate with sound as it has a speed hack,for the midway drivers.

is there source for that emu i can patch in a hack if so...by the way there is no sound hack for .72 it was incorrect sound but required no processing then they made it perfect and it required massive processing and to them its about accuracy

i meant a speed hack for the emulation of the game not the actual sound.
so that it could be played with sound.

there has to be away to get it with full sound and speed KI is a more complex then any MK game

ki is a standalone emulator just for those 2 specific games.
mame is a lot more complex.

tried them on arcades,played pretty well i thought.

didnt think they played that quick

incase you ask primal rage is rejected its still glitchy if you want I can set it to play automatically without sound as it speeds it up but I dont think it should go in.

Try out a few of these games like Strikers 1945 2/3 via Mame on your PC, then you will see they play nowhere near how they are meant to. Choppy shmups are a waste of time.

There are one or two others, can't remember them off the top of my head. Dragon Blaze is one though that needs removed. The slowdown is apparent and intrusive from Stage 1-1. Unless disabled sound helps any then I would seriously remove it.

i dont play mame on the pc and i do find strikers 2and3 playable.

a bit frame rate jumpy but still not to bad..... not perfect but pretty good.

I added about 15 off that list Wugu ill show you all game that made it in 24hours

Any more games now is the time if not im closing this part of the suggestion in the next day or 2..... so I can do the keymap and a few other toys

I went out head! In recent days I tested many games in MAMEDOX 1.1, approximately 10000!

For "Battle K-Road" I think that you can work with the function "Throttled"!
I seen that increasing "Throttled" resolves the problem of slowness, with sound on!
Please add this game, is fantastic!


For "Don Den Lover Vol. 1", I can tell you, that this game is infinity!

the arcade version of streetfighter the movie is not bad,if you disable sound,just whatever you do dont play the saturn port,meh its BAD.

Street Fighter the Movie has been denied... But I have renamed them all and added them to the list to boot without sound. So if you add them it will work for you guys but I wont be. Ill look at love and the other one again tonight but you now have 1 day for new games if not tommorrow this time the request for this stuff is over... cheers

i DONT want to sound like a BROKEN record BP but . . . . how is ultimate mk 3 running and is it possible to make a stand alone player for it kind of like the sta 3 emu you made ^^

i look at it this way BP is one of the ONLY people who still make,fix and continues to do stuff for the original xbox system so HECK yes! im going to support BP

Once the patch is out I will look at MK etc with sound the source wasnt source but compiled versions but there still some stuff I can do. If anyone has .72 mameox source please let me know... but for now I must put in alot of new stuff the list is pretty long and I would like to do it pretty quickly and I also like a high standard. After this patch it will be bugs and keymap fixes on a real time level eg if I fix it, it will be availble that day. And maybe all midway stuff running with sound...I have added some features hidden into the build that will allow me launch external mameox.xbes and ill try and use CoinOPS to launch other builds for certain games and maybe even SF3 3rd strike or even Genisis or SNES games. But this is after the patch. Plus there still a full HD version im 95percent finished :S and I was going to redo FBAxxx GUI to better suit my simple tastes... long term goals really just to do the stuff I want

Wow man. Looks like you're doing a lot of new stuff. Now if you'd just add the 400 games that take about 200MB and the ability to auto filter them out, I wouldn't even have to do any more work.

Oh... and when I figure out a fix to make 2player games alternate from controller 1 to controller 2, you can add that too and this emu will have it all.

Figure I'm in a thread where it's on topic and it's just frustrating that I love 100% what you're doing and that it's just so damn close to what I want, but it feels like to be able to get where I want it's so incredibly far away. I enjoy doing this stuff and I'm really picking up on a lot. Love to be able to help you and learn so I can create the end result one day that I want. Seriously dude... I don't know if my OCD is going to let this one go until I got it done the way I envision it. That could take 5 years or a few months if I had some direction.

All I want is the source, and the entire source this time, and without any sabotage in it either. I don't see what the big deal is. You will be following MAMEdev's policy then, and I will never bother you again. I can figure this out on my own and learn from your changes once source is provided. I will not ask you any more questions if the source is provided when you finish CoinOPS 2, or whatever you're calling it. I will still have to make most of the adjustments in code myself as I've already invested about 100 hours changing source code myself and I'm not about to abandon my own work even if you do the right thing and provide the complete source.

As per your wishes, anything that comes out of it will not have your name associated in any way.

bull the full mamexbe is released to you and I havent altered it... launching code has nothing to do with the mame code and is a totally separate source. And I dont care anyways you where no fun to work with so yes its totally personal get over it.

That's a real shame you feel that your entire code isn't included under the terms of service. Where would you be, or any of us for that matter, had the MAMEdev team decided never to release MAME source to the public and to hoarde it to themselves? You are reading that wrong, and because your build uses original MAME source, you are obligated by license to provide that source upon build release. It's probably a completely un-enforceable license, but if you had any honor, you would release the full source.
