I was thinking about about getting a US wii points card, because of the strength of the £ against the $, but do not know if there is any region locking on the wii points system. does anyone have any knowledge/experience of trying this?

Well, as some reference, Microsoft Points vouchers are region locked.

They are religion locked. (I was thinking of getting some imported myself, however they are region locked).
