There are no King of Fighters 2004-2008, with the exception of King of Fighters 2006, which is the name of the US version of Maximum Impact 2.

The other games are simply:

King of Fighters NeoWave
King of Fighters Maximum Impact
King of Fighters XI
King of Fighters XII

They don't exist. Their all rom hacks or some crazy BS of older KOF games.

HOWEVER, there is a game called King of Fighters 2006, which is actually King of Fighters Maximum Impact 2.

SNKp stopped making and naming their KOF games annually now since 2003. After 2003, it's been KOFXI (KOF 11) and KOF XII (KOF12).

I don't know what exactly this has to do with MAME (except the "kof"), so I'm going to go ahead an move it (Maybe this should be in console?).
