can you take a pc gamepad plug it to a laptop and(with the right program) your ps2 sees it as a ps2 controller

Do you want to use your PC controller in your PS2? i think you need a Joypad Converter

And I don't think that exists because a lot of these PC controllers need to have drivers installed on the computer.

well I think most joysticks are HID compliant.. so I'm betting that some sort of adapter is possible. Dunno about the compatibility though...

Ok so you have a PC gamepad that you want to use on a PS2... why is plugging it into the laptop part of the equation?

I suppose he thinks that the only way to plug a PC gamepad to the PS2 is to put something inbetween, i.e. his laptop. who knows.
