Full Version: I can't get this to work for the life of me...

I can not get this to work. I have my server opened and running on port 8888, like it should be. Port 8888 is forwarded on my router. I have no password set. On my DS, I can connect to wifi with my NWFC options that I set manually. I didn't use the auto-setup. When I use auto-connect on DS2Win, I get to the Enter IP box. I enter the IP that I get from ipconfig (192.168.001.101). Picture of IPConfig When I press the check mark, I am brought to the window with "Connection Status" as the title and it says "Waiting. . ." with the red X button. I've left it there for 45 minutes (I was doing something else so I decided to give it a try) but it refuses to connect. I can not see what I am doing wrong here. I have no firewalls running on my computer.

Alternatively, when I try manual connect, I enter the DS IP 192.168.001.005, the gateway address 192.168.001.001, the 2 DNS addresses I get from ipconfig /all, and the subnet mask 255.255.255.000. It finds my router when I do this. I get to the enter IP screen, enter my computer's IP, put in no password, and I get the waiting screen. Once again, it just hangs there.

Someone please help me. =.=

EDIT: Also, I'm using Win2DSv0.7 on a M3SD, if it matters.

Yha I have the same problem. I could not get DSHobro to work either because it could not connect.

Help would be much appreciated.

EDIT --- I can connect my DS to other online apps, like BEUP, ndsmail.

Ok, I posted above, but now I have it working. I could get apps to connect to the Internet, but not to other computers. I have an M3 simply 2GB, running vista with and linksys WRT54G. I port forwarded, I turned off all fire walls, I assigned all static ips. Everything I could think of. Then I decided to completely reset my wireless router. Completely I mean (hold the restart in the back) when it came back up, I set up the port forward and it worked instantly. And now it still works perfectly. So my advice would be to try that. But on a side note my router is screwed up, and it does some weird stuff. That is why I tried the reset.

Good luck biggrin.gif
