I dont know why people like css so much.... its far to easy with the spray people should play more 1.6 and cz since those two are dying and more people are starting to switch to css cause it has "Better Graphics" like man who cares about graphics

I like CS 1.6 Better and I have played both (Though source not so much). There are some things I like about source (Flashbangs). But it seems easier when you switch from 1.6 to source. Granted 1.6 is much buggier than source (I don't think you can shoot through walls in source), you get used to it.

Plus that Dynamic Weapon pricing was pretty funny (good idea though). Colts/M4A1 for $6,000! Yay!

yeah you can shoot through crates and some walls, and yeah if your good at cs 1.6 and you goto source is so easy cause you cant just spray and stuff in 1.6 yet in source its like completely accuracy when you spray its stupid ; and in source i HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE i could say that for the rest of the night ill say it again i HATE the flashbangs ; i dont mind the white part but when it shows you dizzy afterwards it pisses me right off lol! but yeah like you said yayay! lol

Never played source only 1.6, and it's a mixed thing.

Some people tell me 1.6 is stupid and source is teh bomb.

Some tell me source is for nubs and 1.6 is pr0.

well your right source pros come to 1.6 and get owned all the time then cry out hacker hacker hacker and then go back to play source and when 1.6 players go play source which is much much much easier people call them hackers for being good there too it gets pretty funny after awhile

I like 1.6 better than source, but i play source because thats what everyone else plays. I wouldn't say its THAT much better though. They are different, but they are different games, did you really expect Valve to just re-release the same game?

I've also come to like the more accurate/spray-enabled guns. I mean it might be easier, but not really because everyone else can do the same thing, not just you. And it was stupidly unrealistic in 1.6, Guns are simply NOT that inaccurate. Especially in the hands of supposed trained counter-terrorism units. It's way more realistic in Source even if it does make an easier game experience. Also its easier for n00bs to pick up and play.

as for CZ though, i wish you didnt remind me of it, its kind of a waste :/

I'm sorry....But i like...Counterstrike better 1.6 because it is a Tournament game also it's very realistic like the guns and so example the guns....their actually that much mostly....except maybe the AK-47 OR the CV-47 rofl...it's like 1000 bucks now the M4A1 is ......2500 dollars for the real gun. I know because my brother owns 1.(lives in States) Also AWP is a NOOB weapon ...If u use it UR A NOOB...why? Because of 1 simple fact basically One hit kill ..Like COME ON i got shot in the arm and i lost my life in that game.... CS Source isn't much skill...WHY the guns are WAYYY to strong in that game i tried it. Me and my buddy tried... i got a UZI and used it in 1.6 and it took about 20 shots to kill him if it hit him in the chest...the uzi in CS source...wow....it took 10...Also the new guns in the game when you shoot it, the cross hair jumps up and therefore can end in a HEADSHOT. (so Noobs go to Source But if ur a Good/experienced player then go to 1.6 that's WAY more skill...

Actually, it isn't realistic at all, the game is infact very arcade-y, has been like that since the old beta days.

1.6 <> CZ : EXACT same game, only difference is CZ is trash and no one plays it. I believe if everyone went CZ, CZ would be the top dog and not 1.6. CZ costs more money, for a product that is basically the same as 1.6 while 1.6 is free with every copy of Half-Life.

AWP: It's an all skill weapon, one hit-one kill-long reload time. Same as the scout, all skill weapon, not alot of damage, but one properly placed head shot can kill as usual.

AK47-CV47: It's name was changed to avoid copyright infrigment. Yes "AK-47" is in fact copyrighted! Another fine example of this is in GoldenEye when the AK47 was changed too K7 Soviet.

Also, more coherency, punchuation and grammar in your post. It's very broken. Even Ghosty's and Davis' english is better than yours the first time they came posting around.

well ive played source and it was just way too easy, and i dont think it was the server, because i played on many different ones,even clan servers which are suppossed to be good... well im stciking with americas army because its much harder and more realistic! lol this is my first post

I love twitch shooters the most, Unreal, Quake, It just seems like a more straightforward no BS experience to me. Its all about reaction time,accuracy, and raw skill. Not flocking around with ducking and jumping and doing all this weird crap to get the guns to work.

Then again im slowly backing out of the FPS genre, they pretty much all suck now, im tired of playing the same game over and over again with a different title. Hopefully Crysis or something turns out as awesome as they say because i've been dying for another killer FPS.

The only reason I prefer CS and tactical shooters over "arcade" Shooters is because granted there's more luck with the aiming aspect in CS and such. But at least there's aiming. I play online a lot and usually with the arcade shooters; it's just everyone jumping around like monkeys making everyone resorting to spread/rocket weapons. Plus, I don't like the whole "Put your cursor on the target and fire away". I rather take the time to aim and hit my shot. In addition, the fact that there is no recoil in these "arcade" shooters makes it even more ridiculous. Example is a machine gun. Move slower in tactical shooters and it takes a while to put away and set up vs Move the same speed as a pistol but do more damage.

CS 1.6 pro mod sound intriguing. But cs1.6 is decent enough already. Just a few stupid bugs

I've shot real guns like those before, and guns simply don't shoot that way in real life. Which makes it really frustrating to play, If we used guns that inaccurate and sensitive to movement we would all be screwed in any kind of firefight.

Most of it is the characters fault, Supposedly you are some kind of spec ops with training for all these guns yet he can't hold/shoot it right without all this ridiculous recoil? Thats crap.

Awesome games anyway though. Realistic doesn't always=good.

Wow this thread is pretty much Dead, but since Ive been playing CSS so much recently, I have to post here... I was a beta child and then spent my CS hardcore days on 1.6 before taking an extended leave of absence from the game (right about when Source came out) Now my husband has taken it up again and has dragged me back (ok so maybe I didnt complain much) point is that imo source besides from having slight changes in map and graphics is exactly the same as 1.6.. More people play it now of course, but there are still the same amount of hackers, same crappy servers for pugs and same over abundance of wannabe teams lol.. But One big difference is that most servers now inforce a "Rate" caps at like 30 or 66 or some bs... which pretty much sucks... That and the league start money now being at 16000 first round is bs too... Coming from an old CAL player, the pistol round could make or break a team win but now both teams get to all start with AWPs??... *sigh*
