It doesn't work. At all. On any DS Emu. For now.... Buy the game you bastard.

As everyone has been saying it is true that Dualis cannot run commercial games but I don't think that is darkangel's problem. It looks to me like he doesn't have the necessary AMR7 and AMR9 bios files for the emulator. I remember that this all of the DS emulators would crash on me before I got the bios files for them. Now they just showed a black screen for any incompatible rom.
Don't ask for the bios files however as this is against the forum rules to do so. If you search google you might get lucky but the NDS's bios files are very, very hard to find. Your best bet is to dump your own bios. I believe that there are topics here that tell you how but I'm not sure. Check around before asking though.
The main point however is that yes you should just buy your own DS (if you don't have one already) and the game to go with it. The NDS does not have a region lock-out feature so you can play games from other regions on it other then your own (if I'm not mistaken) without having to mod it or anything like that.

No$gba can, and so can iDeaS. I prefer iDeaS, though, cause you don't have to mess around with BIOS.

The emulation just isn't up to par right now. I'd suspect it to be very well in a year or two if we're lucky. Right now the sales of
flashcards have pretty much stunted the need to emulate the console.

WHat's the reason behind the slow emulation of the DS? I'm not rushing for I'm not a DS fan but i was wondering. I mean the graphics are somewhat improved, but is it the whole touch screen affect or the dual screens that are hard to emulate?

Yeh the DS has been around for some good years now, and PCs today have proportionately a f.ckload of power to leverage in emulating it. I always remember the GBA being emulated extremely well early on, and, hardware wise, the DS doesn't seem overly more complicated than that was.

A few things that had to be said before :
- iDeas ins't working on Vista ( I bet you all have XP so this is no problem for you

).
- No$GBA runs the pokemon game if you have bios but the game freezes after your 1st battle against the bird pokemon.
So I don't know about the iDeas emulator, but the creator of that emu shoul really make it work with Vista so I can try the Pokemon on it and see if it still freezes at that place ...

iDeaS can run Pokemon D/P, but none of the sprites show up. So even if you could
get to the first battle, it wouldn't matter if the game froze.

Hmm a thing I found is : No$GBA runs the game and if you enable the sound you may continue after each battle, but the saving thing on this emulator sucks alot ....... see every time I try to run my saved file it is showing some crapy error ...... if the saving was done any better the game would run really good... ( as I said when I turn on the sound on the emulator the game continues and I didn't got no crash thing after that, just every time I try to load my saved file it fails... and I have to play over and over again ...... )

most nds emulators have very little compatibility as they are, and pokemon diamond/pearl is a very new game (and quite big - 64 mb, if i'm not mistaken)
so far, i think the best emu for nds is no$gba (or something like that) and even that plays warioware perfectly until you get to any 3d scenes/mini games.

I don't know why you would say that... NDS emulators these days have rather good compatibility. iDeaS v1.0.1.7 runs most games at full speed with sound.

I am about half way done with the game (been working great for me) just got past the psyducks in the road, when all of a sudden the top screen went white. So ive been playing for about 2 hours and didn't want to redo that 2 hours, so I saved the game, exited, and started the game back up. To my surprise the top screen was still white, and continues to be white no matter how many times I try to load it. I even tried a different Rom...The weird thing is when I push start the Pokemon, bag, save etc list comes up that I can see... Can anyone help me fix this white screen please?

Are you playing this emulated, on the real deal with a cartridge, or through a flash cart? If emulated, there's no telling what happened -- no emulator is perfect at the moment. I most certainly wouldn't play any games for long periods of times without save states (or play a game with the intent of being it, for that matter). You might want to try a save editor and see if you can change your location or something. You can find one of those
here.
