Has anyone ever used Raine? I decided to try it out, the latest version 0.43.4
but it crashes a bit, and there's no sound in many games.

Any advice?

I used to run RAINE back in the days when I still had my older computer in active duty (since MAME was way too slow). Unfortunately I haven't really touched that emulator since version 0.36.

It was good 3 or 4 years ago because it ran games that MAME did not. I don't bother with it now as MAME has caught up and sadly surpassed it.

Totally Right Superman. Raine was an excellent emulator back in the day, fast, supported a ton of games, etc. However, it also allowed tons of hacks in the drivers to get speed etc out of them. I think this is a major factor leading to it's downfall.
Raine has a very nice license and is open-source though, so modifying it and adding more games, new drivers, etc. is always welcome.
