Here's something I'd like for a future release.

Buttons in the touchscreen, similar to MPH, that way you dont need to press the face buttons of the DS.

This would be handy, of course, for FPS, but could also help other genres if these buttons could be personalized.

I'd also like to be able to personalize the controlls from within DS2key, and not the server app in my computer. Like Win2DS.

I'm currently at school, so I havent tested DS2key v4, and I wont have time to test until Monday or Tuesday, but I'm getting MPH on monday, which means that I wont test it soon...

Hmm, it doesn't seem to work for me. it just keeps displaying "searching". My DS seems to be connected to my pc though, because its mac address is associated. I even double (well actually more then twice) checked port, ip etc. Some additional info:
- I use GBAMP
- I do not use a WEP key
- Other programs like the wifi test prog from stgair and WIN2DS work fine.

So any idea what is going (or what I am doing) wrong?

It seems to not be communicating with the pc/server, only the router. Try DS2Key 0.3 and see if it's a problem with this version if you can't connect with 0.3 its probably a configuration problem.

Also, if you can post your ip numbers for the ds/client please do.

hm... ds2key 0.4 has much more delay than 0.3.
i'm still using version 0.3 which enables a nearly perfect control when using an emulator. perhaps the problem lays by my pc & router or someone the same problem?

however a great and usefull application punk.gif

Me nor Sypherce could detect any delay in the use of 0.4. I played Stepmania with it for several hours, and the button detection was as perfect as it's always been. Perhaps it is your computer or router?

Same with me, I couldn't detect any delay.
Maybe you did use different configs for 0.3 and 0.4?
Maybe a different port or something.

No problem, just post some infos on what and how you did try to connect.
What IP adresses you use, wether you use special features (like wep, wep
doesn't work at the moment). Have you started the sever app on your pc?
Did you change the port? If you did did you change it on both sides (ds and pc)?
Kayouu
dont think it worked for me when i changed the IP of the DS lemme check agian...

I'm having the same problem on a SC SD, even though 0.3 works perfectly.

Hi this is Eric again. I have recently purchased a flash card and it will arrive within 2 weeks. After it arrives i will probably be back here posting about needing help with the key.

This is a known problem with DS2Key 0.4, it will be fixed in the next release, although I have no idea when this will come out, I'm hard at work at it, but I'm not sure when I can make a release.

How do I save my connection settings with DS2Key? I'm using a SuperCard SD. It's a great program, but manually typing in all that info every time is kind of tedious.

It's in the readme (afaik), you need to switch you ds off and on (quick),
and then go to "Save", and select the DS2Key.sav (if any, if you don't have
one you need an 64kb file with nothing in it (I'm not sure if it is 64kb
but I'll make sure when I'm home), the file must have the same name
as the DS2Key binary except for the extension (DS2Key.nds -> DS2Key.sav,
DS2Key.ds.gba -> DS2Key.ds.sav, but I'm pretty sure you use something
like DS2Key.sc.nds -> DS2Key.sc.sav). Just put this file in the same
directory where the binary is.

Thanks for the polite response. I should have already mentioned, but I tried this with a 64kb.sav file and it's still not loading my settings on startup. The files are named DS2Key.sc.nds and DS2Key.sc.sav

Try renaming the save to DS2Key.sc.nds.sav?

Make sure that both files are in the same folder, if their named as you
mentioned there shouldn't be a problem (it's case sensitive btw.).
You to turn off and on the ds quickly after setting up and saving the
WiFi data, the save should be still in the sram of the sc now. Go to the tab named "SAVER" select the DS2Key.sc.sav, Press A and then again for
saving the sram into the file. Now as long the.sav file is in the same
directory and is named right the sc loads the data into the sram automatically.
I'm not sure if that still works for the latest release, I just remembered
that it writes the save into the FAT system (which works only for CF media
right know due to the used version of the CF driver).
the 0.3 does for sure, so may be you should use that version.

Program is great, when it works. Everything has to be in absolutely optimal condition for it to even send a signal to the computer through DS2Key, and even then it often doesn't work.

I'm waiting for the next iteration when this is fixed. I don't recall any of this crap happening with the non-GUI version.
Smashed_187
Is this dead? If so, are there any objections to me recompiling this with the newest wifi lib so we can all use WEP, DHCP etc?
Warlord698
he is working on it when he gets time

Amazing program!!! had a little trouble getting.4 connected properly, but.3 works great! thanks everyone who contributed, or posts in this forum, it's very helpful. and to think, I almost blew the cash on one of those SNES pad USB adapters! punk.gif

I need some help here. My Access Point is a PCI card: Gigabyte GN-WP01GS. It is working without any problems in Nintendo WFC games like Mario Kart DS and such. When I'm turning DS2Key on then it's searching for the Access Points and it's seeing my PCI card. Then I'm trying to connect, but in the lower left corner it's "Searching" the whole time. I've checked my firewall, ports etc. but there's nothing blocking. What am I doing wrong?

Do you have the pc ds2key software up running properly?
If yes, check if you have the same port for the software and the ds side
and keep in mind that the ip for pc and ds need to be different.
If your pc has something like 192.168.1.1 then just use something like
192.168.1.101 for the ds.
Caoimhin
Well, the DS2Key.exe is on, set to connect, port is set, keys are set too.
I've tried lots of combinations with the IPs, ports etc. but nothing's working :/

EDIT: Well. It turned out, that I was trying wrong combinations of the IPs biggrin.gif I looked at it from a different angle, then thought what could be wrong, tested something and... voila! It's working now!
izy521
Theres two things i dont understand. 1. what should the IP be, should it be the IP of the computer or a random one. 2.do i need to add the port to my Router settings.

Oh and im using Games n Music, on thier site it said this one would work.
