i use winkawaks emu for my neo-geo games
i have downloaded uni-bios.rom from the official site(dunno wether it falls under "rom link" catagory)
how do i install it ?

i have neogeo.zip(55kb) and another 349kb one that has a file called "uni-bios.12" but the caommand in the readme are not working
btw the readme refers to installing it on the mvs and avs systems

For WinKawaks just place the uni-bios.rom file in the root Kawaks folder. It has to be named uni-bios.rom though with no version numbers or anything. It will automatically take precidence over any other BIOSes.

Unibios.22 is for MAME's Neo-Geo BIOS set. Like Mr. G said, a simple rename will work.

how do i use uni-bios with nebula 2.24/2.25

It's been a long time but I think you have to rename uni-bios.rom to neo-geo.rom and put it in the ROM directory.

Put the universe BIOS in your Neogeo.zip and enable 'Use Universe BIOS' from Nebula's/Kawaks' menu.

Does MAME32 support uni-bios? I though that this feature is only for unofficial builds?

not officially you either have to add it into the source or get a precompiled build with the support already added

It is supported in MAME32Plus! and MAME32FX at least.
