Checking the RSS feeds, in particular the only one I use, the Emulation News feed doesn't have any description. I don't know about the others, I don't use them.
Can the feed be updated to include the 1st post in the description? I'd like to be able to read the initial post without having to actually go to the page itself.

It would make a mess of the tuxemu news service.

No it wouldn't, the description is an optional include, under a completely different anchor in the XML. You don't need to display it if you don't want to.
