There is no emulator for it. If you want it, you can buy it from an arcade supplier.

Just because KOF is built on Atomiswave doesn't mean it can be emulated. I have a feeling the next question will be "Where can I get a KOF Neowave/NGBC rom?"

You should really do some searching on your own before asking such a question. Just a thought.

If it has Metal Slug 6, some game geek will do an emu for it

It will have metal Slug 6, and yes, there will be an Atomiswave emulator some day.

So, are you guys saying it's a system, or is it only available as an entire arcade machine like the kof neowaves in arcades?

Yes. Same idea as neogeo or CPS1

SNK PS2 games are never coming out for PS2 in North America. Proof: All SNK games coming out in North America are going to Xbox

I was actually told this by many people. besides alot of places say different things.

I know most games by snk are coming out for x-box, but that's just for now.

The only way the SCEA will release these games on the PS2 is if their bundled together. Which means, all KOFs but Neowave will come out on it, NBC & Tenka won't be.

Modchips void your warrenty, also some games that are "aquired" might not work, while imports will work (from my experience with a Magic+). NGBC is set to come out on PS2 on 12/22 in Japan and Xbox 360 in North America a few months afterwards. Both are scedualed with Online (PS2 Japan only & Xbox Live in North America)

I can't wait for NGBC since I can't find this game in any of my local arcade!

Which would probably be better, getting an X-box 360, or a modchip?

I guess the best solutions are:
1) an Xbox
2) a PS2, a way to import games and a way to play imported games (swapmagic is cheaper than a modchip)
I'm going with 2), as I don't have 1) =P

Fixed for great justice.

Legally imported games work just fine. You don't need to pirate them

I know, I owned a few, but pirating them is faster.
