Where can I get the roms? Just joking! Don't answer it.

Anyway, my real question is how do I save the game using VBA, somehow whenever it save, and when I reopen it, the saves will be lost. So, I can only use Shift F1 to save and F1 to load. And with that, it's immpossible to play with other options like Battle Maps, and so on.

What version of VBA are you using? I've read somewhere that some VBA builds (maybe including the latest official release) have trouble with Advance Wars 2...

Then again, you might have a bad rom too.

I think you should change the save file type (to something like EPRM I don`t remember exactly)....... this problame happen with kingdom of heart and all dragon ball games and even final fantasy down of soul.

if you havent fixed it by now try downloading a newer version
but just use save states 1 and 10 for your current progress and 2 and 3 to track your progress through each mission make sure that is u use 2 and 3 during a mission you save to 1 and 10 afterwards to keep your progress up-to-date
