Nope. They should release it though on some console.

Like Mr. G there said, it's not emulated thanks to the bitchy CPS-3 encryption routines. When they do get it emulated, you'll know as long as you keep your eyes on this board.

n e progress so far i heard that some people quit on the project

Quick question, what's so hard about writing 'any' that you have to write it as 'n e'?
Anyway, there haven't been any reports of progress. When there is progress, it'll probably be big news in the emulation scene so you'll probably won't be able to miss it. It's just so damn hard to figure out how the CPS-3 works because of its hardcore encryption.

People quit on the project because all attempts at breaking the encryption on the PCBs have resulted in a fried arcade board.

Which completely sucks and practically renders your board useless. If I had a pcb of this. i'd frame it.

For sure. Silver or gold? Or just plain wood frames?

Maybe gold. But that might cost too much, so furnished wood.

ahh that must suck that means we will never get to play n e cps3 games

No, we will not play any CPS-3 games for a while. Especially since most other CPS-3 games were released on Dreamcast.

how long did it take to emulate cps 2 and 1

The News Archive at CPS2Shock goes all the way back to September 1999 which is when they started to tackle the encryption for CPS2.

http://cps2shock.retrogames.com/oldnews.htmlAnd that is a long time ago. The whole "scene" went crazy for a couple of weeks when Razoola and Co. released the first CPS2 XORs.
CPS-1 was relatively easy because it didn't feature any kind of decryption.

Yeah..you can play them like I do, by buying the CPS3 arcade boards/kits.

I had Warzard for a while, but I sold it and bought SfIII 3rd strike. Warzard is a great game, very different..but great..the leveling up was a great addition..and the gameplay is dead on. The game could have used a couple more characters, but seeing as it was a game to show off the CPS3 hardware..I can understand why it had a few limitations character-wise, but the graphics and gameplay make up for it. It's definitely worth the price of admission.. too bad the US version Red Earth was so rare..I would love to have that kit.

I wouldn't know about emulation, but they have been trying to beat the encryption for the longest time now. Remember, CPS2Shock basically doesn't do emulation, just CPS decryption stuff, IIRC.
