We've had this kind of a poll before, and it was talked to death... but one more time possible won't hurt. I voted for both.

Well It Depends How You Look At It, I Mean SNK Is Making More Enjoyable Games Faster But Capcom Has Already Made The Classics.

I agree with ghost, Capcom has done the classics, but even tho SNK is releasing more fun games now , Capcom has always had the reason that it's original, unless theres another fighting game out there I never heard of..

If comparing only fighting games, SNK.
If comparing other types like RPG ,etc. Capcom, since SNK didn't have any popular RPG.

SNK Had samurai shodown RPG and KOF KYO as their Rpgs

they're pretty good but Capcom wins hands down cause of devil may cry and RE.

For fighting games SNK Has produced more games than Gapcom but I prefer SFA and MVSC over kof

Marvel vs Capcom 2 is the only game I like from Capcom. SF characters aren't that great to me.

well Street FIghter has a more believable storyline than KOF. I kinda like that better though I like KOf and Garou a lot.

Umm dude, I'm hispanic, so calm down...and anyways, capcom has proven to be more succesfull over the years.I believe the E X series was a good hit for SF series, I mean, its like playing Tekken but with the style of Street Fighter, and they brought back the tag team from the PS version of ALPHA 3 (and this time you can actually get more characters together then just RYU,KEN, and Cammy and this other chick.

IMO, SNK is following a bit in Capcom's footsteps for example the 3d games. I think both will be equally successful and both have a good reputation among gamers still

The SFEX games are Arika's assets, not Capcom's. When Arika decides to make another SFEX game, then you'll see it.

SF roms are out to get, or I should say can't be found. At the arcade I really can't play that well.

You can't play that well because ppl that have anger problems break the controls or the buttons get worn down.

I memmber playing MVSC2 and I couldn't block each time I played unless it was for the Dreamcast. Damn arcade maintenance

I fast say that's true. Some controls are spolit and some buttons are also unsable. I remember that time I played MVC2, I use Megaman, the hi-punch button is faulty. How to use Megaman when hi-punch is faulty?

To make things worse, the managers of the arcades don't really care about the controls, so they wont get them fixed -> As long as they are making money.

The high kick for 2nd player is broken on our machine.

But dam those greedy managers. They do something if u complain though. at a arcade in las vegas, the house of the dead 3 gun wasn't working and it got fixed the next day.

Well, that sucks, the arcade around here in MVC2 like High punch for Player 1 and low kick for player 2 dont work, also for Capcom VS. SNK mak of the melenium the times 3 buttons were taking off.

You should try complaining. Unfortunately for capcom and snk games and especialy for fighting games, u need all the buttons u can get and missing some result in lesser combos asnd stuff like that.

Ask them to try to fix it and if they dont, buy a dreamcast

Not that easy to answer. Capcom just delivered one of the best fighting series ever. Street Fighter Alpha 3 is quite near to perfectness, but lacks some balance between the characters. Anyway - the game is just awesome. Great Character design, perfect handling and nice Storymodes.

I was never too much in KOF, because it was kind of heartless. No cool story, just that usual "OMG, I invite all the characters to an allmighty clash and at the end there's one big story battle..."
But I have to admit i just prefer SNK. First of all, there is Garou, which shows on an impressive way how cool 2-D Beat em Ups can be. I'm not one of the biggest Garoufans, because i never liked that many characters of it (but that's personal - they're all very well designed and are unique, too, in most cases). The Game is just what I call "cool".
Samurai Shodown is also quite cool, because it has an very unique atmosphere and some really impressing characters. But I have to admit i'm just digging SS4 - I miss the story in Part 5. The main problem of this game is the unbalanced characters - it's nearly impossible to win this game with some characters.
And on the other hand there's my favourite game of all time - Last Blade II. In my mind this is the best Game ever made for any Platform. The Balance between the characters is awesome, the beautiful graphics are stunning and the countersystem just works perfect. Also very fluid controls and a nice gamespeed. Besides that, the characterdesign and the story (and thats quite rare) are marvellous IMO - I can play that game again and again and the story-mode won't stop to excite me. It's so cool how different the characters are.

So, as you might have guessed i'll choose SNK.

Wow, SNK is in the lead by 2 votes, damn, if this was made around here SNK would have 2 votes and capcom woulda had 6, alot of people from miami prefer Capcom over SNK, wonder why tho....maybe because SNK was barely advertised here. Also alot of people down here didint know about SNK till the Maximum Impact commercials appeared. (Im not one of them)

Well think about it Drake. Most of us here have played arcade emulators and we were exposed to both capcom and snk games. The snk games were pretty much better than the capcom games with:

SNK Games : Garou KOF Last blade 2, Samurai Shodown Metal Slug

Against

Capcom Games: Street Fighter 2, alpha series, vs series, Alien vs predator, Darkstalkers

I'm guessing ppl like snk games more because they're a bit more realistic and take more tactic and skill to beat the cpu or the other player

Snk games are mor wild and the character moves so fast so i don't like it that much plus it's easy to get to the boss but then the bosses are always cheap so i don't like snk that much altho kof is great
