With the release of iDeaS v1.0.1.3 (v1.0.1.4, v1.0.1.5, v1.0.1.6, v1.0.1.7a, v1.0.1.8a, v1.0.1.9 beta) that included support for commercial ROMs, I thought it might be helpful to come up with a compatibility list. Fully working games will be shown in green, partially working games will be shown in yellow, and games that do not work at all will be shown in red. Feel free to submit your own test results!

UPDATE: With the release of iDeaS's audio plugin aud.dll (latest: v1.0.0.5), some games now have working sound! thumbsup.gif

Download the emulator and all the latest plugins here: http://www.mdx.it/ideas/
Alternate: http://www.emulator-zone.com/doc.php/nds/ideas.html

Unofficial iDeaS Compatibility List

Notes: All games USA unless noted otherwise. All games tested with CPU speed set to Normal unless noted otherwise. All versions of iDeaS after v1.0.1.9 have aud.dll v1.0.0.5 already included. You will have to download and install the AviCapture.dll and wifi.dll plugins yourself.

Save Type: (E4)= EEPROM 4kbit, (E64)= EEPROM 64kbit, (E512)= EEPROM 512kbits, (F2)= FLASH 2mbit, (F4)= FLASH 4mbit, (Auto)= iDeaS chooses the save type

iDeaS v1.0.1.7 + aud.dll v1.0.0.2
- Pokemon Diamond (Auto) - Works at a full 60 fps with sprites! If you disable frameskip, the sound is nearly perfect, too.

iDeaS v1.0.1.6
- Biker Mice from Mars (F2) - The intros run fine and the menu loads a bit slow with choppy sound, but the emulator crashes when you try to start a new game.
- Brothers in Arms DS EUR (F2) - The menus are a bit slow, sound does not work, but the game is fully playable, though a little bit slow, with some minor graphical glitches in the environment.
- Dragonball Z: Harukanaru Densetsu (F2) - Works Perfectly at 52 FPS with no sound.
- MegaMan Battle Network 5: Double Team DS (F2) - The intro movie runs slow and wobbly(?), but the game is fully playable (53 fps avg) with only minor color glitches on the bottom screen and choppy sound.
- Star Wars: Lethal Alliance (E4) - The intros and menus run fine with some working sound, but the game freezes as soon as you try to start a new game.

iDeaS v1.0.1.5
- Pokemon Diamond/Pearl (F2) - The game loads and runs at decent speeds, but none of the sprites show up. Not playable.

iDeaS v1.0.1.4 + aud.dll v1.0.0.1 beta
- Pac-Pix (F2) - Menus and intro work at full speed, text only bottom screen is only slightly messed up. SOUND WORKS! Still very rough sound, but it is there! In-game: enemies are visible, but things you draw are not. Runs at full speed.
- Phoenix Wright EUR (F2) - Seems to run perfectly. Frame Rate: 45 FPS.
- Polarium (F2) - Everything works perfectly. Full speed, no graphical glitches, fully playable. Sound is rough, but works.
- Spider-Man 3 GER (All) - Intro runs at full speed, no sound. Menus work, but you cannot get in-game.
- Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam (F2) - Intro seems to run fine, but freezes at the main menu.

iDeaS v1.0.1.3
- Animal Crossing: Wild World (F2) - Shows "Nintendo" and "ESRB Notice" then goes black
- ATV: Quad Frenzy (F2) - In-game at 33fps with major graphic glitches, not really playable
- Big Brain Acadamy (E64) - Works almost perfectly, but is a bit slow (36 fps).
- Bomberman Land: Touch! (F2) - Menus are at full speed, gameplay is slow (38fps) but playable. No glitches at all!
- Cooking Mama (F2) - Menus are a bit slow (40fps), game is playable but with major graphic glitches on the top screen and minor ones on the bottom.
- Children of Mana (F2) - Menus run a bit slow (38 fps), intro is slow and animations are glitchy, but once you get in-game, there are very few glitches. Game is fully playable at 35 fps.
- Custom Robo Arena (F2) - 2D part is playable, but a bit slow (44fps) Completely skips the game's intro and seems to unlocks all battles (But not all parts)? 3D game play (Robo battles) does not work.
- Dead N Furious EUR (F2) - Menus and 2D cutscenes run pretty nice (47fps), 3D cutscenes run at 35fps with some graphical glitches. After a short wait between the intro and the actual gameplay, game is playable at 40fps with some major graphic glitches.
- Diddy Kong Racing (all) - Does not work with any save type. Always gets an error.
- Electroplankton (F2) - Playable at 40fps, but with minor graphic glitches on both screens.
- Final Fantasy III (E64) - 3D intro runs very slow (20fps). You can get in game, but the characters are invisible. As long as you can see your shadow, this should not be a problem. Battles work, too!
- Jump Ultimate Stars JAP (F2) - At the intro: Top screen stays black, touch screen works (You can draw, but only with black), runs very slow (21 fps). Menus have major graphical glitches. In-game: Backgrounds are all glitchy, but characters only have tiny glitches, playable at 35 fps.
- Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time (F2) - Intro plays slowly with graphical glitches on the top screen. Menus seem to be at full speed. Game play is a bit slow at 36 fps, but there are few graphical glitches. Battles work, but slow (35 fps) and with many major graphical glitches. Barely playable.
- New Super Mario Bros. (E64) - Intro plays very slow (35fps) with 3D graphics glitches. Once you get to the map, there are extreme graphic glitches on both screens. It is possible to get in-game, but it runs very slowly (20fps) with extreme graphic glitches.
- Pokemon Dash (F2) - 3D intro runs a bit slow, but has no visible glitches. Game play is just under full speed with very minor color glitches. Fully playable.
- Polarium (F2) - Everything works perfectly. Full speed, no graphical glitches, fully playable.
- Sonic Rush (F2) - Menus are a little slow with some minor graphic glitches. Game is playable, but slow (27 fps) and with some graphical glitches.
- Trauma Center: Under the Knife (F2) - Menus work at full speed with few noticeable glitches. Cut scenes work flawlessly at full speed. Game play is a bit slow (35 fps) with unimportant color glitches, but fully playable.
- Wario Ware: Touched! (F2) - Minor graphical glitches in the intro, menus, and cut scenes, but everything runs pretty fast. The minigames are a bit slow, but fully playable with only minor bg issues.

If you would like to add to this list, please make a post that includes the game's name, save type used, CPU speed, region (USA, EUR, JAP, etc.), and any notes on glitches, game play, fps, etc.. Thanks!

EUR Frame Rate: 45 FPS Save Type: Flash128K

Looks like I'll need 2 more things from ya:
1. The version of iDeaS you used (v1.0.1.3 or v1.0.1.4?)
2. The real save type (Flash 128kbit is not an option in the iDeaS emulator.)
